Dresses For Pink brings hope and practical support to women, men, and families affected by all cancers. Through financial assistance, transportation support, scholarships, education, and community connection, we help people face the journey with knowledge, dignity, and encouragement.
My Story
At the age of 56, I received a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. As I
observed so many women suffering with this same illness, I found
myself wondering, "Why me?" However, I quickly shifted my
perspective to ask, "Why not me?" Cancer, including Breast Cancer,
has a history in my family, and once I acknowledged my own
diagnosis, my personal journey began. This path included four rounds
of chemotherapy, 14 preventative treatments, opting for a bilateral
mastectomy, and having complete breast reconstruction. Yet, through
it all, I continued to RISE

You are not alone. Join us every second Thursday, 6:00–7:00 p.m. Central Time, for a virtual meeting via Zoom. Cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and anyone seeking support are welcome. Come share, learn, and find encouragement. Education is part of our mission. The Roscoe Miller & Greg Calhoun Scholarship offers $2,500 individually to high school seniors affected by cancer, either as a patient or as a dependent of a patient. Applicants submit a 250–500 word essay about their story and impact, resilience and growth, and future goals and purpose. Call 334-467-2153 for application and submission information.
